A trail-race festival for runners and walkers of all ages
and abilities benefiting local homeless shelters. Run any race, any
two, or run the Triple Crown!
Directions to race start/finish area: I-95 to Delaware Exit 1 (896N);
follow 896 through downtown Newark;
W.S. Carpenter Recreation Area is on Rt. 896 about 2 miles north
of town on the right.
Toilets, phone, covered pavilion, picnic tables with BBQ's, plenty
of parking....
All 3 races start and finish by the pavilion.

White Clay Trail Half-Marathon
starts
at 7:30 AM. A scenic 13.1-mile all-terrain
romp through WCCSP and White Clay Preserve. Course fords White
Clay Creek twice (miles 3 and 10) at DE/PA border. 6 water stations.
Registration:
$25. Half-marathon award ceremony at 9:50 AM.

10K for Shelter starts
at 10:00 AM. A creekside communion with
nature; 6.2 miles up the creek to the PA border and back. 4 water
stations. Registration:
$18. 10K award ceremony at 11:05 AM.

The Human Race 5K Run/Walk starts
at 11:15 AM. Our patented "wasn't my
PR" 3.1-mile trail loop within WCCSP's Carpenter Recreation Area; course
is "flat and fast" except for the rocks, roots, steep hills and muddy parts.
Registration:
$15. 5K and Triple Crown award ceremony at 11:50AM.

Triple-Crown (3-race
combo for the judgmentally impaired) Registration:
$45
(individual), $55 (3-person team). Please note the time intervals
between starts; we cannot delay 10K and 5K starts for stragglers.
Don't worry if you miss an earlier award ceremony: we'll award any unclaimed
1/2-marathon and 10K medals after the 5K.
Pre-registered runners receive cool runnin' dawg T-shirt. We can't
guarantee shirts for race-day registrants, so please
pre-register! Free refreshments. Commemorative
finisher's mug for all Triple-Crown finishers and first 100 half-marathon
finishers. Medals: M&F Triple Crown Champion and age-group
(by combined finish places); Triple Crown team; M&F overall and age-group
winners for individual races--69 medal categories in all.
This event is a Mission Project of Head of Christiana Presbyterian
Church
Proceeds benefit four local faith-based homeless shelter programs:
Meeting Ground, Friendship House, Elkton Men's
Shelter and Emmaus House.
