The Traildawgs cordially invite you to a trail run at the

Fair Hill Natural Resources Management Area in Maryland
~1.5mi  below the PA border and west of Newark, DE, on Appleton Rd. (Rt. 316)

The run will start from the Appleton Road south parking area 0.6 miles south of Rt. 273 and the Highs Store (flashing signal)

The course will be well marked with tape, flags and spray chalk, and is primarily single track trail.  There will be water and bog crossings, but none requiring actual swimming—unless there is a really big rain.  As noted above, there are three different distances that may be run.  Runners must carry their own hydration systems/water bottles as there will be limited water provided on the course.  Your only cost will be a parking fee paid to the State of Maryland: $3 for cars with MD tags, $4 for aliens.

Directions to Fair Hill: From the southwest, take MD I-95 exit 109 toward Newark; go 1.1 miles to L at traffic light onto Fletchwood Rd, then 1.3 miles to a R on Appleton Rd. Continue ~2.4 miles north; the parking lot is on L.

From the northeast, take I-95 Exit 1 to Newark Rt. 896N through UD campus, turn left at Main St. onto Rt. 273W, follow 273 ~1 miles past MD border, look for flashing signal at High’s convenience store, turn L onto Appleton Rd, the parking lot is ~1/2 mile down on the R.

From the northwest (PA), come south on 896, R on Appleton Rd. in Kemblesville just past Sunoco station, continue cross Rt. 273 and look for parking lot on R

This is a certified and sanctified Traildawgs.org event.
