Questions should be directed to Web Development, it-webdev@udel.edu

A collection is a group of web directories and servers that contain related information. After you request a collection, you can customize your search forms to work with that collection.

For example, the following examples will return results from the IT Help Center and other related IT Web sites and servers that have been defined in a collection called "it_help". A search on a word such as "username" will return results from the collection called "it_help".

Basic search of a collection

<form method="get" action="http://gsa1.udel.edu/search" name="search">
  <input type="text" name="q" size="20" maxlength="256">
  <input type="submit" name="btnG" value="Search IT Help Center">
  <input type="hidden" name="site" value="it_help">
  <input type="hidden" name="client" value="it_help_frontend">
  <input type="hidden" name="output" value="xml_no_dtd">
  <input type="hidden" name="proxystylesheet" value="it_help_frontend">
</form>

  <input type="text" name="q" size="20" maxlength="256">

    <option value="UDel_archive">UD + Archives</option>
  </select>
  <input type="submit" name="btnG" value="Search">
  <input type="hidden" name="client" value="it_help_frontend">
  <input type="hidden" name="output" value="xml_no_dtd">
  <input type="hidden" name="proxystylesheet" value="it_help_frontend">
</form>
