The meeting opened at 5:15.

  • A discussion was held to discuss future meeting dates and topics. The following schedule was planned:
    • Tuesday, January 16 - Online courses
      • Classroom Connect will be joining us to answer questions
      • Wendy will invite the participants in the online course pilot to share their firsthand experiences.

    • Monday, February 12 - My Favorite Instructional Website
      • Members will be asked to share their favorite site for instruction.
      • Must be linked to the DE Content Standards

    • Monday, March 12 - Working Meeting to plan for the conference
      • ITUG will have a table at the conference to distribute literature and hopefully have a computer for direct signup to the listserv.
      • Volunteers will be needed.
      • This meeting will be used to plan on scheduling for the table, creating a handout, planning, etc.

    • Thursday, April 12 - Personal Digital Assistants (PDA's)
      • As a great follow-up to the conference, we wanted a hot topic.
      • Members will be asked to "bring and share"
      • CompUSA will be invited

    • Monday, May 14 - Office of Information Systems (OIS) tour
      • Many folks have never seen how the state's computers operate. OIS is the heart of that operation. George Slentz will be contacted to see if this date is acceptable for OIS.

  • The group was undecided about having a June meeting because teachers are so busy wrapping up the school year. Additionally, they were unsure of whether to have the 2nd annual Summer BBQ in July or August. It was agreed that these topics would be put to the members for a vote. Wendy will post to the list to get member feedback.

  • Door prizes and member gifts were distributed. Thanks to the following who supplied items: Apple, Classroom Connect, Dell, Microsoft, Tech Corps-DE, Troxell Communications, Office of Educational Technology of UD, and DCET. Thank you notes were sent to everyone.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:30.
