BlackBerry Mobile devices may experience outages

Research In Motion (RIM), the company that produces BlackBerry mobile devices, is experiencing network outages affecting devices internationally, including in the United States. As of 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, IT is aware of only two UD BlackBerry users who may have been affected. However, the outage may still affect other UD BlackBerry users.

If you are having trouble sending or receiving messages with your BlackBerry device, report the issue to the IT Support Center, but be patient. IT may be unable to troubleshoot the problem you are having with your device until service from RIM is restored.
