Sakai@UD reminders for fall 2011

The IT Sakai@UD team has some reminders for faculty and students who plan to use Sakai@UD for their teaching and learning this semester.

  1. Make sure you are using a Sakai-compliant browser (Firefox 2.0 and newer or Internet Explorer 7 and newer). Safari, Chrome, Opera, and browsers on mobile devices may not work properly with all Sakai tools. Typically, clients who use unsupported browsers report being able to see information in Sakai but report problems uploading files and submitting work.
  2. Make sure that you use the proper Web browser settings for Sakai. Some of these settings have changed recently. While using incorrect browser settings, some faculty have reported difficulty creating assignments and uploading files, while some students have reported difficulty submitting their assignments. Therefore, make certain you review your browser's settings.
  3. Be sure to check the Message Of The Day notices on the Sakai@UD gateway before you log in.
