Compromised UDelNet Accounts

What should I do if I cannot log in to email, UDSIS, or Sakai@UD?

In order to protect the University's ability to send and receive email, we sometimes have to disable UDelNet accounts that have been compromised by malware (usually spambot or command-and-control software) that got onto your computer or Internet-connected device via email, downloaded software or media files, or visits to unsafe Web sites.

Hijacked UDelNet accounts are often used by malicious individuals to send out large amounts of spam and phishing email messages. These undesirable messages are recorded as spam by the receiving organizations, which, as a result, will sometimes block all email to and from udel.edu addresses.

Since these hijacked UDelNet accounts' activity can affect the entire University, we sometimes have to disable those accounts until the rightful owner has taken corrective action.
