Configuring Your Browser to Enable Pop-up Windows for Trusted UD Servers

If you use University Web Forms and Applications, the browser you use may need to be configured to accept pop-up windows (e.g., primus.nss.udel.edu, www.lib.udel.edu, delcat.udel.edu, cognos.udel.edu, etc.).

To configure your browser to accept pop-up windows from these UD sites, follow the instructions outlined below for the computer and browser you use.

Windows Computers | Macintosh Computers

Windows Computers

Firefox 3.x - 6.x

  1. Open the browser.

  2. From the Tools menu, click Options.

  3. Click the Content icon located at the top of the window.

  4. Click the Exceptions button located to the right of Block pop-up windows.

  5. You will see the Allowed Sites dialog box.

  6. To enable the browser to recognize UD servers as trusted sites and, therefore, enable pop-ups from these sites, in the Address of web site field, type the site's URL. For example, if you want to add the UD Library site, type

    www.lib.udel.edu

and then click Allow.

  1. Repeat step 6 to add other UD trusted sites, including:

    delcat.udel.edu for DELCAT

    primus.nss.udel.edu for Web applications

    udapps.nss.udel.edu for Web applications

    udsa.nss.udel.edu for UDSIS

    cognos.udel.edu for the reporting tool COGNOS

    sites.udel.edu for WordPress

    sakai.udel.edu for Sakai@UD

  1. Click Close when you finish adding the sites you want.

  2. Click OK to close the Options dialog box.

Internet Explorer 7.x - 9.x

  1. Open the browser.

  2. From the Tools menu, click Pop-up Blocker.

  3. Click Pop-up Blocker Settings.

  4. To enable the browser to recognize UD servers as trusted sites and, therefore, enable pop-ups from these sites, in the Address of web site to allow field, type the site's URL. For example, if you want to add the UD Library site, type

  5. Click Add.

  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to add other UD trusted sites, including:

    delcat.udel.edu for DELCAT

    primus.nss.udel.edu for Web applications

    udapps.nss.udel.edu for Web applications

    udsa.nss.udel.edu for UDSIS

    cognos.udel.edu for the reporting tool COGNOS

    sites.udel.edu for WordPress

    sakai.udel.edu for Sakai@UD

  7. Click Close when you finish adding the sites you want.

Macintosh Computers

  1. Open the browser.

  2. From the Firefox menu, click Preferences.

  3. Click the Content icon located at the top of the window.

  4. Click the Exceptions button located to the right of Block pop-up windows.

  5. You will see the Allowed Sites - Pop-ups dialog box.

  6. To enable the browser to recognize UD servers as trusted sites and, therefore, enable pop-ups from these sites, in the Address of web site field, type the site's URL. For example, if you want to add the UD Library site, you would type

    www.lib.udel.edu

and then click Allow.
