Disabling automatic archiving

1. From the Tools menu, click Options.
2. Click the Other tab.
3. Click the Auto Archive button.
4. Uncheck Run Auto Archive every _ days.
5. Click OK.
6. Click OK.

Verifying automatic saving of draft messages

In the event of a computer blip or a network problem, it's important to avoid losing work. To ensure that draft messages are saved, follow these steps:

1. Open Microsoft Outlook.
2. From the Tools menu, click Options.
3. Click E-mail Options.
4. Check the Automatically save unsent messages check box.
5. Click OK.

You can change the default time it takes for Outlook to automatically save by selecting the Advanced e-mail options button after step 3 above.
