Accommodations

The Courtyard Marriott at the University of Delaware is walking distance to campus. Reservations: (302) 737-0900. "Problem-Based Learning Workshop" should be mentioned to get the U affiliate rate of $149 per night (plus 8% tax) associated with a block reservation June 10-13 for the workshop. The cut-off date to take advantage of this block reservation is May 23. Daily shuttle service will be provided from this hotel to the workshop location and return.

The Sleep Inn is a less expensive option but is approximately a twenty minute walk to campus. Reservations: (302) 453-1700. "UD PBL" should be mentioned to get the preferred rate of $69 per night (plus 8% tax) associated with a block reservation June 10-13 for the workshop. The cut-off date to take advantage of this block reservation is May 27. Daily shuttle service will be provided from this hotel to the workshop location and return.

Other possibilities for local accommodation are available at admissions.udel.edu/visit/accommodations.shtml. Embassy Suites and Homewood Suites (Hilton) are nearby Sleep Inn and provide comprehensive accommodations.

Transportation

The closest airport serving Newark, Delaware is the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), approximately 40 miles away.
