This two-day workshop will demonstrate problem-based learning (PBL) and model ways that PBL can be used effectively in all disciplines, in upper and lower division courses, and in all size classes. This session will incorporate many elements of the Introductory Track at PBL2002. An emphasis of this program will be writing effective problem-based maternials; participants will leave the session with new or revised problems for use in their couses.
This workshop is sponsored by the Institute for Transforming Undergraduate Education and is open to all members of the UD faculty.
Faculty members from other colleges and universities are invited to attend this workshop. Visiting faculty teams are limited to five from each institution. Registration cost is $300/ person which includes instruction, materials, and refreshment breaks. Participants are responible for their own transportation, meals, and accommodations; you may refer to an online Visitor's Guide for information. A block of rooms is being held at the Sleep Inn at a reduced rate for this workshop. Shuttle service will be available between the hotel and the meeting room; pickup will be at 8:00 and 8:15am.
