Recipient of 1999 Hesburgh Certificate of Excellence -- Description of the Award -- |
You are invited to come celebrate with us as the University of Delaware receives the 1999 TIAA-CREF Theodore M. Hesburgh Certificate of Excellence for Faculty Development to Enhance Undergraduate Teaching for its problem-based learning initiatives and the Institute for Transforming Undergraduate Education.
This prestigious national award acknowledges and rewards successful, innovative faculty development programs that enhance undergraduate teaching and help inspire the growth of such initiatives at America's colleges and universities. This award is really due to your efforts - the faculty and administrators who have supported and implemented undergraduate educational reform efforts for the past five years. The University of Delaware and its faculty are now recognized as the national leaders in undergraduate problem-based learning.
This reception is being co-sponsored by the Office of the Vice Provost for Academic Programs and Planning, the Center for Teaching Effectiveness, and the Institute for Transforming Undergraduate Education on February 22 from 4:00 - 5:30pm in the Ewing Room of the Perkins Student Center. Please confirm you attendance with Dianna DiLorenzo at x2147 by February 17.
