Improving Group Processes in the PBL Classroom

In both high school and college, our students have had experiences working in groups both in and out of the classroom. Despite previous experience, however, many students find working in groups to be a difficult, and sometimes frustrating, endeavor. In this session, we will explore ways to minimize conflict and enhance productivity in problem-solving groups. In particular, the session will discuss procedures that groups can use to conduct their discussion effectively, while also minimizing unnecessary conflict.
