Working with Bookmarks

Saving the URLs that you find during web searches is made easy with the Bookmarks feature of Netscape Navigator. As you proceed with your web search I would encourage you to save important "finds" by simply clicking on the Bookmarks icon on the menubar and adding the sites as you go...

The following instructions assume that the PC you are using is running Windows 95 or NT.

  1. To start from a clean slate, we have prepared a bookmarks file with a few links relevant to today's problem. To get started, insert the floppy disk that came with your workshop packet into Drive A of the PC that you are using.

  2. If you are using your own PC and would like to save a copy of your existing bookmarks file, please do so immediately; otherwise the contents of your file will be overwritten in the next step.
    To save the current contents of the Bookmarks file:
