Majors in Human Development and Family Studies lead to Bachelor of Science degrees designed for persons seeking careers in teaching, human services, research, or pre-professional training.

Human Develpment and Family Studies offers two areas of undergraduate study for students which focus on human development from prenatal throughout the lifespan:

early childhood education
Coursework in Early Childhood Education provides a strong background in child development, working with families, and early childhood curriculum. more >>>


Coursework in Human Services provides a strong background in child, family, and adult development as well as the structure and functioning of human services in the community, the delivery of services to children and families, and research, evaluation, and policy process. more >>>

Human Development and Family Studies course offerings are structured to ensure a solid foundation for the future of our students. These courses are taught by qualified faculty devoted to helping each student reach his or her potential. Our programs are designed to obtain a degree in four years, but this will vary with the individual student. Our degree programs introduce students to practical, hands on field experience in our University Centers as well as organizations outside the University.
