The M.S. program in human development and family studies is designed to prepare scholars and professionals for positions as researchers, professors or leaders in early childhood, human development, and human services fields. This program has a strong emphasis on understanding theory and research as it relates to individuals and their families and programming interventions.
Degree Requirements
The M.S. Human Development and Family Studies requires a minimum of 30 credits and a thesis. The student's area of emphasis is selected in consultation with the student's advisor and committee in planning a program of study. Strong students interested in continuing graduate work are the primary target group for this degree.
While the program was in review, we are now accepting applicants into the program in the Family and Human Development Research concentration.
