Areas of Interests: Special education, autism, applied behavior analysis, single-subject research design.

My area of study and research is the education of students with severe disabilities with an emphasis on students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).  Of particular interest to me is the use of Applied Behavior Analysis strategies for teaching young children with autism.  In my research and clinical practice, I am interested in discovering efficient and effective methods for increasing generalized (flexible) responding.  As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst(tm), I have experience directing home programming for young children with autism and creating positive behavior support plans for children with severe problem behavior.

In addition to school and home-based education, I am also interested in the inclusion of children with disabilities in community settings, especially spiritual communities.  In my spare time, I enjoy writing and playing music in my home studio, computers and web design, and reading.
