Shannon L. Fields, P.E.
Shannon L. Fields has been involved in photovoltaic research for more than 15 years. He received a B.M.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware in 2002, an A.A.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Delaware Technical and Community College in 1997, and a B.A. in Physics from Frostburg State University in 1991.
Mr. Fields has worked with amorphous silicon, cadmium telluride, and copper indium gallium diselenide thin film solar cells. He has co-authored 6 papers and is a co-inventor on an international patent.Recently, Mr. Fields has been involved in developing techniques for fabricating mini solar modules, on flexible substrates, using monolithic integration and LASER scribing.
He holds a Professional Engineering license in the state of Delaware and is affiliated with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Delaware Association of Professional Engineers, and the Society of Vacuum Coaters.
