Currently a Research Associate I, Daniel Ryan has worked in photovoltaic research for over 10 years. He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 2001, and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering in 2010, both from the University of Delaware.
Mr. Ryan's work is primarily focused on the design, fabrication, and operation of custom thin film semiconductor fabrication systems (PVD, CVD, Sputtering, E-beam, Chemical Bath Deposition). He also directs and trains other IEC staff/students in the operation of these systems.
Mr. Ryan has extensive experience in the characterization of photovoltaic devices and thin film material properties. He is responsible for the operation and maintenance of several characterization systems at IEC. Mr. Ryan also has experience with LASER scribing to create monolithically integrated thin film solar modules.
Mr. Ryan is a member of IEC's internal safety committee.
