WEB BROWSERS

The University provides support for the following web browsers:

Full Support

Full support means that the University will provide full technical support for University end-users, including training, custom documentation and troubleshooting.  Web authors must test all official University web sites in all browsers in this category to be sure their sites are accessible and navigable.

Limited Support

Limited support means that the University will attempt to assist users with these programs, but may not be able to resolve all problems that users who chose to utilize them may face.  It is recommended that users who wish to use one of these browsers also have a Fully Supported browser installed for back-up use.

WEB AUTHORING PROGRAMS

The University provides support for the following web authoring packages:

Full Support

IT provides up to date documentation and training for fully supported authoring programs, in addition to answering questions and providing troubleshooting for them through the IT Help Center.

Limited Support

In addition, IT provides limited support for a number of additional web site authoring programs.  While training and documentation may not be available, IT may be able to provide assistance for these programs through the IT Help Center.

  • Adobe GoLive CS and earlier
  • Older versions of Macromedia Dreamweaver
Departmental Support

Some departments have standardized on additional web authoring packages because of specific departmental needs.  If you need assistance with another package specified by your department or help publishing to a departmental serve, you should contact your department's CITA or computer support person for assistance.
