NAVIGATION
Starred items (**) address accessibility
Navigational aids help users move easily through multi-level web sites.
Required:

Include a link to the UD Home page from the main page of a site.

**Alert users when you link to anything unusual and tell them what to expect, such as large files, video or sound files.

When using video and sound files, provide a text transcript if the information is important to the content of the page.

For key information, link to HTML files instead of files that require a browser plug-in

Recommended:

Include a return to the main page of a site from lower-level pages.

Match links with the title of the page they link to, so the user is immediately oriented.

Make links of keywords in text. Avoid using "click here."

Use the browser for "back" and "forward" navigation.

Keep navigation tools consistent and in the same place from page to page.

Use site maps or tables of contents for large, complex sites.
