Awards & Honors: Current Chair of the U.S. Figure Skating Sports Medicine Committee. In 2006 was awarded the PSA Sport Science Coach of the Year and the US Olympic Committee’s Sport Science Coach of the Year.
Presents at several U.S. Figure Skating Training Camps and PSA seminars, and has traveled internationally with Team USA as a team physiotherapist.
Current & Past Clients: Off-Ice conditioning for beginner level through National, International and Olympic caliber skaters in Freestyle, Pairs, and Dance.
Is a former skater with senior tests in figures, freestyle and dance. In addition to her off-ice conditioning position, she is a PhD student at UD in Biomechanics and Movement Science; her academic research is examining the landing impact of on-ice jumps in figure skaters.
Has authored Injury Prevention and Strength Conditioning, a manual designed specifically to meet the training needs of figure skaters. As part of her Sports Science she evaluates skaters of all levels and develops personalized off-ice training programs specific to their needs.
She works with skaters both individually and in small groups on strength, power, stamina, flexibility, balance, coordination and agility.
