NATURE OF JOB: Under general supervision, performs a variety
of routine and nonroutine duties requiring some independent judgment in
the application of established procedures related to University services
or facilities.
EXAMPLES OF WORK: Depending on divisional assignment, the following
are typical examples of work:
* Responds to inquiries concerning programs and facilities;
* Enters data into the electronic accounting system for charge back purposes;
* Completes University forms;
* Maintains records and inventories for unit (e.g., food catering equipment,
postal supplies and usage, cleaning supplies, etc.);
* Guides the work of Service Assistants in the absence of the supervisor
and/or Service Coordinator;
* Assists in the training of new employees;
* Perform duties of Service Assistant as needed;
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES:
Requires a minimum of a high
school diploma or GED and one year of related work experience; basic computer
skills including the ability to input, save and retrieve data; and the
ability to communicate effectively and interact well with people of all
ages and diverse backgrounds.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
May require possession of a valid motor
vehicle operator's license. May require the ability to lift, with or without
assistance, up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time. May
require the wearing of personal protective equipment (e.g., safety shoes).
