PRESCHOOL AIDE (V2) 
FLSA Status: Nonexempt

NATURE OF JOB:
Under immediate supervision, provides technical support to the Director and classroom staff to ensure the efficient operation of the facility. 

EXAMPLES OF WORK:
Depending on assignment, the following are typical

* Maintains materials and equipment for Laboratory Preschool; orders supplies; 
* Plans lunch menus, purchases and prepares all meals and snacks; 
* Assists staff and student teachers in preparing activities; 
* Schedules observation booth use; 
* Catalogs new books and educational materials; 
* Serves as aide in classroom as needed; 
* Performs other related duties as required. 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES:
Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Requires the ability to interact flexibly and effectively with public, staff, students and children; handle multiple tasks; and communicate effectively and interact well with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds. 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
May require passing a preemployment drug screening, comprehensive background investigation including fingerprints/criminal history, and health certification including a PPD Tuberculin Skin Test (Mantoux). May require First Aid and CPR certifications.
