Full-time matriculated undergraduate University of Delaware students who are not in the Honors Program must have completed at least 12 credits at the University and have a UD cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher to be eligible to enroll in Honors courses. Priority seating in Honors courses is always given to eligible Honors Program students.
To request Honors courses which still have available seats for Spring 2012, students not in the Honors Program who meet the above criteria must contact the Honors Program Office starting on December 12. First Semester freshmen not in the UDHP must wait until all fall grades are posted to request a seat in an open Honors course.
Students with GPAs below a 3.0 are ineligible to enroll in Honors courses. Any student falling below a 3.00 overall GPA after fall grades are posted will lose enrollment in any Honors courses for the spring semester.
At the end of their course of study, UD students integrate their previous work in a culminating experience such as a senior seminar, group project, or similar activity. Please consult the Capstone course list for courses that have been approved for the Honors Degree and Honors Degree with Distinction.
