Sarah Thorne

Senior, Class of 2013

Major(s): Agriculture and Natural Resources & Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Animal Biology

Why I chose UDHP: I decided to attend the UD Honors Program because it presented the opportunity to attend a medium-sized university, but still have the feeling of a smaller community. I liked the Honors housing freshman year and that there is the option to continue with Honors housing in the following years.

What I Am Most Involved In: I am most involved with the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and I spend a lot of time on South campus. I have a part-time job at the University's Webb Farm working with the sheep, beef cattle, and horses and I am also involved in the professional agricultural sorority, Sigma Alpha, and the Animal Science Club. This past summer (2012), I had an internship with the College of Agriculture as part of a U.S. Department of Agriculture grant to internationalize courses offered by the college by incorporating information about Brazil, a rising agricultural power.
