Gilead by Marilynne Robinson, a beautiful reflection on fatherhood, family, and life. Undaunted Courage by Stephen Ambrose, the story of Meriwether Lewis and the opening of the American West.
- Favorite Travel spots: Paris, San Francisco, backpacking in the Emigrant Wilderness (in the Sierra Mountains just north of Yosemite), Yellowstone National Park, Salzburg
- Favorite foods: Chocolate, especially from Chocolatier Durand in Rennes France, halibut, brussel sprouts
