The UD Master Players Concert Series proudly presents the Juilliard String Quartet in their Master Players debut. Founded in 1946, the Juilliard String Quartet is widely known as the quintessential American string quartet. For nearly seven decades, this quartet has made manifest the credo of its founders to “play new works as if they were established masterpieces and established masterpieces as if they were new.” The Juilliard String Quartet features violinists Joseph Lin and Ronald Copes, violist Roger Tapping, and cellist Joel Krosnick (in his final season with the ensemble). The program includes compositions by Schubert, Debussy and Wernick (world premiere).

“Each of the four has a notably beautiful tone, a sound that sings out but also blends. They show a shared understanding of the music they play; every bow stroke adds to its meaning and its integrity." — Chicago Tribune
