ALL Faculty/Staff:
Perform any of the following steps that apply to you:

Voice Mail -
Turn Off Extended Absence Voice Mail Greeting (see question #11) or review
Voice Mail General Information.
- Practice Good Computer Security
- Install UD-licensed software as needed from the UDeploy
software distribution site.
- UDeploy has useful software, including McAfee Anti-Virus software, which the University
provides for all University-owned computers and all computers owned by employees and students. Your computer should have this software installed as
evidenced by the McAfee icon icon
in your computer's system tray (the bottom right corner of your screen, next to the time). If you do not see this icon, check with your CITA or contact the IT Help Center.
- McAfee is configured to update virus definitions at computer startup.
Read more about McAfee and keeping it up to date.
- Check out and download any other UD-licensed software - browsers and utilities, as needed.
- Re-activate Reception of UD e-mail:
- If you had set an Automatic Reply in Webmail Direct to inform senders that you were unavailable to read UD e-mail,
stop the reply.
- If your UD mail was forwarded to another account, remove e-mail forwarding:
- Login to the University of Delaware Network.
- Choose "Forward your E-mail". Your current forwarding information will be listed.
- Choose "Remove forwarding".
- Use Webmail Direct at http://mail.udel.edu to access UD e-mail.
If you have not already done so, Login - Set Preferences -Activate Spam Filter. Once activated, probable spam is directed to the folder: Junk Mail.
Users should daily check to confirm that valid e-mails have not been directed there.
