Callback Services
(Internet search: Callback Service)
How it Works:You call a pre-programmed U.S. "trigger" number, wait for the computer to answer, then hang up and wait for a return call to your phone. Once the return call comes through, you can place a call as if it were originating from the U.S.

Pros Cons
Takes advantage of lower U.S. call rates. You must know the proper trigger number to call to activate the service.
Normally no monthly minimum or setup fees - entirely usage based. Must use a land-line phone or have a local SIM card for the country you are visiting.
