The mission of the Center for Research Development (CRD) is to facilitate the scholarly activity of faculty and academic professionals in the College of Health Sciences through the coordination of resources and activities that support scholarship. Typical examples include encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration, acquiring financial resources, providing assistance with financial reporting requirements (internal and external), grant writing support, and research assistants. The CRD as an organization effectively addresses all the research goals outlined in the College strategic plan, as well as education and outreach goals. A primary business goal is to demonstrate an increase in external funding awarded to faculty and academic professionals in the College. The major objective of the Center is to stimulate and provide support for faculty and academic professionals with scholarship.
