Dean's Excellence in Graduate Research Award
The Center for Research Development is accepting nominations for the Dean's Excellence in Graduate Research Award to be given by the College of Health Sciences during the Honors Day ceremonies in May 2008. The award recipient will receive $500. To be eligible for the award, the student must be enrolled full-time in a College of Health Sciences graduate program (including interdisciplinary programs) and must be advised by a faculty member with a primary appointment in the College of Health Sciences. In addition, the student must be making adequate progress toward the completion of their degree, as determined by their advisor.
Nominations should be accompanied by recommendations from two faculty, one of whom can be the individual nominating the student. In addition, students who are nominated should provide the following information:
- Evidence of presentations at professional conferences
- Evidence of publication(s), if any
- Evidence of external honors or awards, if any
- A one-page summary of research that includes at minimum
- The significance of the work
- Who may benefit from the efforts
- Where future studies may lead
Nominations and accompanying materials are due to the CRD Chair (J. Richards, 345 McDowell Hall, jimr@udel.edu) no later than April 1st. Faculty nominating students will be notified of the results during the third week of April.
