The field of health sciences encompasses a broad and dynamic collection of specialties. A common theme among all areas is the goal of making a positive and lasting impact on the health and well being of people by adding years to their life and life to their years. Our college historically attracts students who are eager to assume this exciting challenge.
Our graduates are energized by the challenges and responsibilities that accompany promoting active, healthy, and nutritious lifestyles. They also function as disease detectives, care for the injured athlete, rehabilitate the disabled, and provide care for the medically ill patient. Our students receive early immersion into practice settings and our faculty’s world class research programs. As a result, many graduates continue their education to pursue a career in medicine or enter the realm of scientific discovery.
While you may desire a rewarding career as a health scientist or in one of many dynamic health promotion or clinical fields, our goal in the College of Health Sciences is to prepare each student for a career as a life long learner and champion of best practice principles.
