Information for Seniors

Senior
Checklist
Things to do... now that you are almost through!

Being a senior is an exciting and anxious time.  So many things to do and so many dates and deadlines to remember.  This checklist is a way to keep on track--to make sure that graduation day arrives without any unpleasant surprises. Items may vary by student in terms of when they need to be done.  Be sure to know what affects you...and when!

Academic Requirements

Verify when you will be graduating.  Check the Student Information System to ensure that you are scheduled to graduate at the end of the appropriate term.  If the date is incorrect, notify the Dean's Office.
Complete a "Senior Check-Out" for your major(s) and minor(s).  This should  be completed no later than the semester before you intend to graduate.   See your advisor or Dean's Office for information and specific deadlines.
Make sure transfer work from other institutions has been officially posted to your record.

A few other things to keep in mind

Double check that you will have the total number of credits you  need for your major.
You'll need at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA to graduate.
No Communication Conditions can be on your record.
Your record cannot contain any "I" or "S" grades.
