Christiana Towers Apartments

Christiana TowersThe Christiana Towers Complex is comprised of two high-rise residence halls, which together accomodate approximately 1,298 students. Students are housed in apartment suites built for groups of two or four.

Each apartment has ajustable heat and air conditioning controls, comes fully furnished, and contains a living/dining room, kitchenette, bathroom, and one or two bedrooms. A full-size refrigerator, wall-to-wall carpeting, and neutral blinds have been installed in each suite, as well.

The Christiana Towers Apartments are just a short walk away from the Trabant University Center, and shuttle bus stops directly in front of the Towers make the rest of campus easily accessible. The Christiana Commons, the P.O.D Market located below the Pencader Dining Hall, and the athletic turf are all part of the complex. The Towers are also in close proximity to Pencader Dining Hall and the Laird Campus fitness center.

The Christiana Towers Apartments are currently available only to upperclass students, and demand is usually high. The Towers are coed by apartment, and both buildings are connected through a basement tunnel, which is accessible from 8AM to 3PM.

A "Return Request" option is available to current Towers residents, and a Friends Together option is available to all interested applicants. Vacation Housing is also permitted during the academic year.

Christiana Towers Rate Statement

The Christiana Towers Housing Agreement offers a 9-month/academic year housing term that does not require students to vacate their room during holiday/vacation breaks or during Winter Session.

In all buildings that remain open for break periods and Winter Session, there are staffing, utility, building maintenance/repair, and custodial costs. The Christiana Towers housing rate reflects the costs associated with occupancy for nine months. Students assigned to the Christiana Towers apartments are not charged the $30 a day housing fee for break periods or the $500 housing fee for Winter Session assessed to students living in traditional halls. These costs are incorporated within the academic year rate.

Proposed rates for 2012-2013 will be discussed with the Student Government Association (SGA) and the Resident Student Association (RSA) in March and rates will be released in late spring.
