Built in 1990, Ray Street is comprised of three buildings on Laird Campus, each housing approximately 115 students. There are 15 lounges, 3 laundry rooms, and 3 kitchens throughout the three buildings.
The Ray Street Complex is home to Special Interest Housing, a place where students can live and work with like-minded students of various disciplines and interests and develop a learning environment that supports both their interests and academics. The three Ray Street residence halls house 344 students in both regular and Special Interest Housing.
Ray Street is located just minutes from Main Street and the Trabant University Center, and close to Pencader Dining Hall.
The complex currently houses upperclass students. In addition to Special Interest Housing, a Transfer Community Living Learning Community (LLC) is available.
Ray Street residents live in double suites with a connecting bath, and the buildings are coed by alternate suite.
Each suite has off-white walls, tile floors, window shades, and adjustable heat and air conditioning controls, along with standard UD furniture. A sink is available in each room.
Students living in Ray Street can access the other two Ray Street buildings using their access cards from 7PM to 9PM, Sunday through Thursday.
