The i-card

i-card

The i-card functions as an official ID card and will provide you with access to locations across campus (e.g. fitness centers, student activities and events, laundry facilities, athletic events, etc). New students will receive their i-cards during New Student Orientation. You'll never have to carry cash on campus with your i-card linked to your FLEX account or your PNC account!

FLEX: Cashless Purchasing Power

FLEX is a declining balance account that you can use in place of cash at over 200 locations across campus. You can use your FLEX account to pay for dining, laundry, printing, photocopies, and to purchase items from the UD Bookstore - including the Blue Hen Cafe, proudly serving Starbucks, and the Apple Authorized Campus Store. FLEX is not a checking account, so there is no fee to use it – simply transfer money into your account, swipe your i-card and go!
Students can make deposits by:

  • Transferring funds online at www.udel.edu/stupayment.
  • Making a check or cash deposit at the Cashiers Office in the Student Services Building.
  • Using one of four Value Transfer Stations to make a cash deposit in denominations of $5, $10, or $20 (deposits are available immediately). [$1 bills accepted at the Library]
  • Adding the amount of the deposit (minimum of $25) when paying your semester bill online.
  • Authorizing the transfer of a credit balance from a student account by using UDSIS.

For a complete list of locations that accept FLEX, visit the FLEX website or call (302) UD1-CARD.
