The Newest Building on Laird Campus Now Called Independence Hall

Students who are assigned to the New Laird Residence Hall for the Fall 2008 semester should be aware that this residence hall has been officially named “Independence Hall”. Due to the lateness of this decision, your mailing address for the 2008-2009 year will be “New Laird Residence Hall.”

If you are in rooms ending in the numbers 32 through 55, you will be in the West side of the building. If you are in rooms ending in the numbers 01 through 31, you will be in the East side of the building.

The West and the East sections will each have a Hall Director. There is one Complex Coordinator for Independence Hall West, Independence Hall East, and James Smith Hall and another Complex Coordinator for Thomas McKean, George Read Hall North and George Read Hall South.

In order to receive your mail this year, all mail sent to you should be addressed using the following format:

If by mistake, mail is addressed to “Independence Hall,” it will still be delivered by the U.S. Post Office.
