Carpet Sales
Save space in the car on Move-In Day! The Resident Student Association, in conjunction with On-Campus Marketing, will be selling carpets in appropriate sizes and colors for residence hall rooms.

Pre-ordering your carpet by Thursday, August 20, 2009 guarantees you the color and size of your choice and ensures that it will be waiting for you when you arrive in August.
Carpets will be delivered to the Rodney tennis courts, the Harrington Beach, and in front of the Pencader Dining Hall on Saturday, August 29 from 8AM to 4PM.
Linen Sales
Do you have extra-long sheets? An order form for purchase of colorful extra-long sheets and comforters (80" and perfect for your residence hall room) will also be mailed to you this summer. Linen orders will be shipped to your home prior to the start of the semester.

Refrigerator/Microwave Rentals
QPS Marketing will be renting out 3.6 cubic-foot refrigerators and combination microwave/refrigerators. These units operate on less than 10 amps when the microwave is in use and no more than 1.5 amps when the refrigerator is in use.
The cost to rent a refrigerator or the combination unit rages from $85 to $161.

Pre-ordered rentals will be delivered to students' rooms before Move-In Day, Saturday, August 29, 2009. Deadline for all pre-orders is Wednesday, August 19, 2009.
Refrigerator/Microwave units will also be available to rent at the Rodney tennis courts, the Harrington Beach, and in front of Pencader Dining Hall on Saturday, August 29 from 8AM to 4PM and Sunday, August 30 from 8AM to 4PM. Hand trucks will be provided.
All orders placed after August 30 will be delivered within one week.
Refrigerator Policy
One refrigerator, with a maximum capacity of 4.5 cubic feet (using 120 volts or less and no more than 2.4 amps of power) is permitted in each residence hall room.
Microwave Policy
One microwave using a maximum of 700 watts is approved for use in each residence hall room.
Students are encouraged to use community kitchens, where microwave ovens are available for their convenience.
Guidelines for Microwave/Refrigerator Use and Maintenance
Appliances must carry the approval label of Underwriters' Laboratories and be connected directly into a wall socket or power strip with an internal circuit breaker.
Refrigerators, microwaves or combination units should be positioned to allow ventilation and should never be placed in closets. Wiring cannot be covered and refrigerators should be kept free of excessive frost, mold or mildew. Food should be kept in an airtight containers. Refrigerators should be emptied and unplugged over extended breaks.
A charge will be assessed if there is damage to the residence hall room or furnishings as a result of microwave or refrigerator use.
