The members of Kappa Alpha Order pride themselves on a tradition of chivalry and a beckoning to the traditions of the southern gentleman and reminiscent of the Knights of the Crusades. A member of Kappa Alpha Order strives to offer reverence to both God and woman, and offers his brother a fraternal love, and an unwavering relationship of trust, obedience, and loyalty.
Academically the Beta Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Alpha strives for excellence. Our chapter performs several community service events throughout the year. We have adopted a local street and park and perform cleanups regularly.
The National Philanthropy for KA is the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Our house, which is commonly referred to as the KAstle is the oldest on campus. It is conveniently located directly across from the business school and is just a two minute walk from The Green.
Socially, the brothers of KA run date parties, mixers as well as participating with other sorority and fraternity events. We go on a great end of the year spring formal which usually takes place in Ocean City, MD. We also look forward to homecoming and Greek Week every year with great anticipation.
The Beta Epsilon chapter of KA is set apart from other fraternities by its extremely strong sense of brotherhood and diversity. Every single member of our chapter is extremely close and would do anything for their brothers. Our main motto is Dieu Et Les Dames, which translates into "For God and the Ladies." We believe very highly in strong faith and respect for women. A secondary motto of Kappa Alpha is Fratres usque ad aram fidelis (Brothers faithful unto death). These mottos truly show our commitment to bettering ourselves, our community and our undying commitment to each of our brothers.
Many of our brothers say that joining KA was the single best decision of their life. GO GREEK AND JOIN KA! The memories and friendships truly last forever.
