The Delta Iota chapter of Alpha Sigma Alpha was installed at the University of Delaware on April 22, 1972, which made it one of the first two sororities on campus!
Our sorority consists of women full of energy and spirit. We all work together to create a cohesive and strong bond between the sisters and as a group we can accomplish the goals we set. Our strongest asset is our sisterhood. Alpha Sigs participate in monthly potluck dinners, hayrides, bonfires, and barbecues to promote great sisterhood. In addition, our national philanthropies are Special Olympics and the S. June Smith Center. Every fall, we sponsor "Greek Runway”, a philanthropy event based off of the show Project Runway. It gives each chapter the chance to show off their creativity, pride, and killer runway skills! The proceeds go to both the Special Olympics and the S. June Smith center.
