Video Contest

The Institute for Global Studies (IGS) invites students to participate in the 2013 Study Abroad Video Contest. Winners will not only receive cash prizes, but their videos may be used on the IGS website, by UD social media accounts, or in other high-profile UD publications and webpages.

Rules: You must be a current student and participate in a University of Delaware study abroad or domestic travel study program during Winter Session 2013 or earlier.
 

Videos must be no more than 3 minutes in length including credits.
Videos must be uploaded to YouTube using key words University of Delaware, Study Abroad, Global.
Videos must contain appropriate content.

Winning submissions will be required to send UD their original video file.
  Videos may be used in the promotional materials or the website of the University of Delaware.

Send an email containing the following details to UDstudyabroadphotos@gmail.com with the subject heading VIDEO CONTEST:

  • Name:
  • College address:
  • Telephone number:
  • Email address:
  • Study abroad program:
  • Study abroad session (winter, etc.):
  • Title of video:
  • Direct Link to YouTube site where video has been uploaded.

 

Entries that do not include all of the above will not be considered.

Theme: Global Citizens
  • Illustrate how you became globally engaged.
  • Illustrate how you continued the tradition of 90 years of study abroad at UD.
  • Illustrate how you took part in the local culture.
Deadline: Entries must be received by February 15, 2013.
Prizes:
  • First prize $100
  • Second prize: $75
  • Third prize: $50
