Thank you so much for your interest in supporting the University of Delaware’s Institute for Global Studies. Your gift today will help out UD’s Institute for Global Studies continue to provide opportunities for students and faculty to engage in activities that contribute to global citizenship.

The University and the Institute for Global Studies have been recognized nationally for faculty and student participation in study abroad and for internationalizing the curriculum. Gifts from individuals like yourself help maintain the excellence at the University.

Our students depend on annual gifts to help fund new initiatives and programs. With your support, you can have a direct impact on the Institute for Global Studies and students in the following way:

• Ongoing and endowed undergraduate scholarships enable students to participate in study abroad, one of the most life-changing experiences for students
• Campus programs and activities that foster knowledge and awareness of the economic, environmental, political, cultural and social issues students will face as global citizens. Examples include invited speakers, musical performances, debates, short-courses, summer institutes, seminars and workshops.
• Funds to support the IGS International Research Awards program which awards small grants to faculty to support research to better understand the global challenges facing our society.  The program is intended to serve as seed money for substantive research undertakings that will lead to applications for larger, externally funded grants.
• Opportunities also exist  for an IGS Endowed Chair and for naming the Institute for Global Studies
