Title: Are You Really Sure the Problem is That Serious?
 

This problem was written with the following objectives in mind:

Discipline-specific objectives

  • Develop an understanding of the anatomy of the compartments of the leg.
  • Develop an understanding of the anatomy of the structures contained within each
    compartment of the leg.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the anatomy of the peripheral nervous system of the leg and the location of the various nervous system components within the compartments of the leg.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the anatomy of the vasculature of the leg and the location of the various vascular components within the compartments of the leg.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the innervation and vascular supply of the muscles of the anterior and lateral compartments of the leg.

Overall objectives:

  • Increase overall problem-solving skills, including the ability to define problems, bather and evaluation information, and develop solutions.
  • Develop effective knowledge-acquisition skills.
  • Develop better team skills.
  • Increase communication skills.
  • Increase self-assessment skills.
  • Increase overall ability to identify, find and use appropriate resources.
