The Office of General Counsel manages and coordinates legal services for the University of Delaware. Founded in 2009, the office consists of three full-time attorneys and a Paralegal. We handle the full range of legal issues for the University, including counsel and advice to the President and Board of Trustees, employment matters, litigation and other adversarial proceedings, corporate and business transactions, student matters, and compliance with pertinent federal and state laws. The office engages and supervises outside counsel for assistance with complex legal matters and litigation.
All administrative offices and academic units of the University and all individuals performing University functions should feel free to contact the office for legal assistance involving their University duties and responsibilities.
