National Association of College and University Attorneys-The web site maintained by NACUA is generally regarded as the premier site for higher education attorneys and their client institutions. All attorneys in the Office of General Counsel are NACUA members. Although portions of the NACUA web site are password-protected, our lawyers can retrieve anything behind the password wall. That includes full-text versions of important cases, regulations, and other primary-source materials, as well as instructional outlines, forms, templates, and a wealth of other materials. The "New Documents and Cases" and "Legal Links" materials on the NACUA web site are useful and available to everyone on campus.
Campus Legal Information Clearinghouse-This extraordinary web site is a collaborative effort between the American Council on Education and the General Counsel's Office at The Catholic University of America. The web site is organized by legal subject matter with fifteen top-level tabs (for example, "Affirmative Action," "ADA Compliance," "Immigration," and so forth). Under each tab, web site administrators have prepared short introductory essays suitable for consumption by nonlawyers, followed by pertinent statutes, regulations, court decisions, training materials, videos, and web-based tutorials.
United States Copyright Office-Forms, publications, law, and policy, including how to register a copyright.
United States Patent and Trademark Office-Patent and trademark information, online filing, fee schedules and payment, and intellectual property policy.
EDUCAUSE-The web site of the leading higher education association dedicated to information technology.
American Association of University Professors-The AAUP web site is rich with materials on academic freedom, tenure, and shared governance.
