High_Pressure / Wide_Angle Crossed Beam
Instrument
Mass Spectrometry Divission at the University of Delaware
Operational principle of this intrument is essentially similar to
that of the "Classical" Crossed Beam
Experiment .
Principal Innovations over the later machine include
utilization of a Compargue type High-Pressure Molecular
Beam Source and commercial VG-70/70D mass spectrometer as
the ion beam source. Wider detection angle is another
advantage over the earlier crossed beam instruments.
