Bruker BioApex FTMS Ion Cyclotron Resonance Mass Spectrometer

Mass Spectrometry Division at the University of Delaware

Recent installation of the 7 Telsa Bruker serial FT ICR Mass Spectrometer initiated new a sequence of experiments in the convoy of the Peptide class Collisional and Surface Induced Dissociation studies. According to G. Kruppa, no other Company has provided Todays' Chemists with such a series of installed similarilly designed instruments, which in fact has made ICR by Bruker a common reference for comparative studies in the Design and Applications in the field.

Electrospray and Nanospray Ion Introduction is coupled with advanced Ion Optics to provide highly efficient sample delivery into the cell. The Brucker ICR Cell itself relizing several unique fundamental ideas nowdays becomes a textbook topic. Easy to use operation interface combined with a highly flexible electronics applies no limits to an experimentalists ideas.

Adoption of new design ideas for further enrichment of the list of the routinely available experimental techniques is another area of our Collaboration.
