What Is Sakai?

Sakai is a Web-based learning management system that is being developed by a consortium of educational institutions that belong to the Sakai Project. The University of Delaware is one of the founding members of this group, which includes Brown, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Harvard, Illinois, Indiana, Johns Hopkins, Michigan, MIT, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Stanford, Syracuse, UCLA, UC Davis, UC Berkeley, Virginia Tech, and Yale. I promised that if the University of Delaware adopted Sakai, I would create courses in which develeopers could learn how to design and implement effective Sakai environments. The course of instruction I am creating includes:
