ISTE TF-IV-A calls for technology facilitators to use a variety of assessment techniques (many as opposed to one) in assessing student learning of subject matter.
Differentiated Instruction
ISTE TF-IV-C calls for technology facilitators to "apply multiple methods of evaluation to determine students' appropriate use of technology resources for learning, communication, and productivity." The process of adjusting technology to suit the student's individual differences is called differentiated instruction.
Data-based Decision Making
ISTE TF-IV-B-1 calls for technology facilitators to "guide teachers as they use technology resources to collect and analyze data, interpret results, and communicate findings to improve instructional practice and maximize student learning." In educational practice, this process of making educational decisions based on actual data is known as data-based decision making.
